My Scoliosis Scar (2020)
These six images are of myself featuring my long scoliosis scar that runs down my back. I set up my own studio in my parents' garage, and took these photos on my own using the self timer mode on my digital camera.
I've had scoliosis ever since I was a little girl, but on May of 2018, I underwent a 6 hour long surgery to fix my scoliosis and twisted rib cage. I now have a long, permanent titanium rod that helps my spinal cord stay straight. Because of this, I've had to learn how to love myself with this scar that will forever be a part of my body.
"Sonder" (2022) BTS
As the BTS (Behind The Scenes) Photographer, my duty while on the set of "Sonder" written & directed by Davide Picci was to take professional shots of all the cast, crew and different production sets of this short film. So, here are a couple of photos I took while on set each day.
Childhood Feelings (2021)
This gallery of old photographs I found and edited using Adobe Photoshop is a vivid collection of my memories represented mostly by feelings I experience when remembering parts of my childhood.
Six Photo Narrative (2020)
In all four years that I attended my High School, there ended up being at least one student death every year, whether it was from a car accident, or other serious reasons. That is why I decided to create a short 6 photo narrative implying the dangers of texting while driving. I used my own digital camera and set up my studio once again in my parents' garage in order to control all possible lighting and elements needed to spread this important message through photography.
Lighting Exercise (2020)
Played with lighting to create dramatic portraits of my cousin Ayelen Sforni and my brother Nicolas Danoviz.
Handmade Guitar (2021)
My uncle Gilbert Jibbi Sandoval designed and built his own guitar all the way from scratch! Once completed, I set up my own small studio in his house and took photos of his beautiful creation. Check out his progress video here!
Then vs. Now (2020)
I wanted to depict the significant impact the Coronavirus had on our lives by recreating old photographs from my childhood with a 2020 COVID-19 twist.
